Postby Les Jones » Wed Mar 09, 2016 12:58 pm

Hello peeps, 2 days and the new lump is now up Tonka's skirt and running well, drove some 35 miles from Suzuki Dakar - country lanes - duel carriage ways- then a blast on the M25 in heavy rainfall up to 70mph without any problems, seems Suzuki Dakar know there stuff, now total cost inc 4 days vanhire £126, Dakar charged -new exhaust £120 , and black box From stock £20, engine out new one in £550, £690 total, so far so good l reckon -l asked if there was any sort of guarantee with the work and the fella - "Any problems bring it back and its sorted" that's how business should be done, trust and a civel handshake- cheers Dakar.

Update on the Jimmy Lump in Tonka ~ coming up on 13000 miles since the engine replacement and alls well and tickertyboo, no problems whatsoever and goes like a racing Snake, petrol mileage up by around 6 miles per gallon since the transplant with the old smokey Joe engine, so all in all very pleased with the new engine, on average I cover 150 miles a week and i've saved around £10 a week in fuel on average, so that engine will pay for itself in the near future, so again thanks to the lads at Suzuki Dakar ~ money well spent!
