Hello All

Postby rangerman77 » Sun Apr 03, 2016 9:27 pm

Hi All

Although, I've been 'hanging around' for a while I've only just managed to register.

I've recently purchased a 2003 Suzuki Carry which I slowly intend to improve, but in the meantime it's proving to be a useful old bus.

Anyway, been interesting reading through all the previous posts etc and I look forward to chatting to you all and sharing knowledge.

Cheers

Welcome 'rangerman77' to this forum. I had noticed your name yesterday in the "Who's on-line list" and had observed that you had not yet made any postings. Anyway, I hope you find us helpful and friendly -- there is a wealth of useful information available from the members if you ask.

I've been a member for over nine years and it has been interesting to discuss numerous topics with so many people. I trust you will find the forum as absorbing and engaging as I have. I check every day to see if there is a new posting.

Hi Alan

Thanks, I've read through your camper thread, and most of the older threads, and they've proven very informative/interesting.

Have you prepared the camper for the new season yet?

We previously had a Bedford Rascal with a Romahome conversion which we've missed over the last couple of years.

Cheers

Mark

That certainly looks like a neat job. Perhaps I'll do something similar as the little flat pockets supplied with the vehicle near the base of the door-panel are not very functionable and a small box would be much more useful.

Well done, 'rangerman77'.

The small side bits at the lower of the fully opened doors, I use as storage for Jump leads/gun gum/wheel brace / cleaning rags, The other side holds spanners/ bulbs, just slide a bit of ply in front to hold it all back,
The pods ( mid sec) I cut out larger, and now fit a plastic box with camping stuff in, and the other the stove and brew kit, each pod has a lid.
In the back, I will have 3 x 2` x 2` bed grade cushions, that can be used as a bed or 2 to sit on & 1 for back rest,
BUT, basically, inside & out it is a flat floor van,

Yes, I've just come indoors having done the tasks of getting the campervan ready for a new season of "gadding about". I have booked a trip to Ireland later this month.

Annual service and MoT test were completed on Thursday by my excellent Suzuki workshop, but some 60 miles round-trip away. I've used their facilities for over twelve years and have always received first-class service and courtesy. Having has several bad experiences, I am wary of using the local Suzuki agent.

Why have "rangerman's77" pictures disappeared ?

Hi All

Thanks for your comments.

Sorry AlanBirt I've been having problems with the photo hosting service I was using and will have to redo them.

Cheers Steamydave; I had come across your website many moons ago when looking at Suzuki Carry stuff - excellent website by the way,

Cheers Mark

Thanks also cap43 for yous suggestions.

I initially used 6 inch deep underbed boxes under the first section of floor - one each side - they were a tightish fit but have 'worn' in through regular use.

Cheers
