Postby Simdun » Sat Jan 20, 2007 6:18 pm

Hi

I dont think there are any in Basingstoke area, however the nearest ones are Town & Country cars in Alton, Burnham Suzuki in Slough or Sportif Suzuki in Witney Oxfordshire.

Thanks for that info.

Anyone any experience of them?

Town & Country say they were the first Suzuki Dealer - not sure if thats true - but if so, they must have a good reputation.

Just having a look at my dealer's location map, which came with the handbook etc. There is a dealer at Newbury not far north of you,Faraday Suzuki.(01635 510 000). There is also Coxon at Reading (01491 411 491).
Looks as if you will have to travel a bit for a dealer anyway.

Thanks for that - the Newbury one is a puzzle ... not sure if its new?

One has just opened up in Basingstoke - Alan Gibson - I popped in there to introduce myself yesterday.

Apparently, the Swift I bought for £1300 - he would put on the forecourt at £2999 ...... he reckons I stole it!?

Good grief!! :o

Well done then on the Swift MrRee,nice to hear of someone getting a bargain.
Regarding the Newbury dealer, the map I used is 18 months old,so they are not exactly new,but there has been reports on here of one or two closing.
All you can do is phone to see if they are there?Anyway, now you have a local Suzuki dealer, you should be fixed up hopefully.

I have bought parts from them - they were pleasant and helpful.

Do you think Suzuki are expanding?

They are certainly looking like a marque to watch - the cars on offer seem fantastic value for money!

I think Faraday in Newbury Closed.

They use to be a Main Rover dealer selling Suzuki as well but when Rover went I think they closed down.

Burnham Suzuki dont do parts or service but they have a branch in Maidenhead which does. They were helpful and put them selves out for me to get a part next day.

Town & Country, the parts guy there (Darren) really knows his stuff. Even regarding deleted models...
