SUZUKI LIANA timing belt/cam belt change?

Postby MissLiana » Wed Jul 01, 2009 8:59 am

I'm interesting in buying Liana 2006 with 43.000 miles.

When does the timing belt/cam belt need to be changed?

No, chains are not changed routinely - only if they fail (which may be never).

Oh brill , the hand book that came with the car made no mention to a chain or belt etc... panic over and don't need to take it in for it's 60'000 mile change

Hmmmm

We have an 05 GLX and had to have the 'timing belt' changed at 54k mile service. Wasn't needed, was part of the service seemingly

should have been fan belt.. take your bill back and get them to explain the item and then point it out to you on the car

Ahhh the fan belt. Yes that was changed too :-(

It has never been the same since. We took it back 3 times as it screeched. In the end we gave up on the Garage. Very poor quality workmanship. Main dealer too :-(

timing belf for 2001 Suzuki Liana

Postby luc » Wed Sep 14, 2011 12:32 pm

Hi

I have a 2001 Suzuki Liana and I'm wondering if it has a timing belt or a timing chain.
Also, is there any website where you can find this kind of information for any car?

Thanks

Luc

It has a chain, if it's a 1.6.

I don't know a website; I use the Suzuki Electronic Parts Catalog.
